AST Testing Facilities

Each shock absorber is designed and tested both on the road and on the shock dynamometer. These rigorous endurance tests give the engineers at AST insight into the performance, ride quality and longevity of all the shock absorbers produced. By using a high end CAD design system, changes can be made quickly and easily.

Suspension dyno testing is a very accurate method of checking the actual function of a suspension unit. It performs the very simple function of compression (bump) and extending (rebound) within a suspension unit, but does it accurately. The rate at which the suspension moves is a measurement of how stiff or soft it is set.
